Asparagus Is Back!
Asparagus grown in our mild, damp climate is so much better in every way than the air-freighted stuff that we never serve it outside its natural English season. Now is the time, so look out for it on our specials over the next few weeks. Our asparagus is grown for us by Andy Allen at J W Allen & Sons in Norfolk. Enjoy it simply with classic Hollandaise and a soft poached egg or add some delicious Severn & Wye Smoked Salmon. A glass of grassy Sauvignon Blanc is all you need to complete your celebration of Spring!
We’re counting down the days until we can welcome you back inside the pub, and we won’t be checking the weather appsevery day!We’re taking indoor bookings,for groups of up to six or tables of up to two households, from 17th May.
Late May Bank Holiday
Who doesn’t love a long weekend? Enjoy a great roast on Sunday, before easing into Bank Holiday Monday with a bloody mary and our Bank Holiday Best Menu – whether it’s a roast, a burger, or a superfood salad, or a day of bubbles.
We won’t want to miss out on all the games, so join us in the Terrace Bar to watch any of the games.

Tapas On The Terrace
Nothing beats the sun shining down, a large jug of Sangria and deli plates inspired by the missed trips to Spain. Book our table online and quote “Tapas” and we’ll make sure you’re booked onto the terrace.

Pub Dog Walk
Wrap up and meet us at the pub for our Autumn Pub Walk! Meet at the pub for 10am, we’ll fuel you with a hot drink and breakfast bap, before we head off for a morning stroll. Four legged friends welcome.
Meet The Brewer
We’ll be joined by a local brewer who will be chatting through the lengths they go to, to produce great beer. There’ll be sampling and nibbles too. More detail to follow, pop the date in your diary.
Pork to Fork
Head Chef Phil Huges, will be working with our favourite pork farmer – Jimmy Butler, for a night showcasing the tastiest free-range pork. Menu and more details on how to book available online soon.
Cheese & Wine Night
We’ll be joined by one of our favourite wine suppliers – Tanners – tasting our way through their award-winning wine, paired with some of the best British cheeses. Tickets to book online soon.
